Connecting Pipedrive to Reven.eu

A walkthrough of what you'll see connecting the Reven.eu app to Pipedrive, from signing in to your first synced deal. Pipedrive's connection is simpler than most: one approval covers both signing in and granting Reven access to your pipeline, so there's no second round to come back for.

Before you start

Pipedrive doesn't split login and data access into two separate grants the way some CRMs do. Its authorization screen asks for every scope Reven needs up front, in one round, and signing in with Pipedrive already gives Reven what it needs to sync your pipeline, no extra approval step later. If you're the one connecting Pipedrive to a tenant for the first time, you'll need to be a Pipedrive account admin. This is a Pipedrive requirement for installing any app, not something Reven can work around.

Every scope Reven requests is read-only, aside from webhooks. Here's what each is for:

Scope What it's for
Access to basic information Identifying you and your account. Granted automatically on every app.
Deals: Read only Reading your deals and their pipeline/stage structure.
Activities: Read only Reading calls, emails, meetings, and tasks logged against your deals.
Contacts: Read only Reading the people and organizations attached to those deals.
Read users data Attributing deals to the right rep by name, not a raw user id.
See recent account activity Reading field-level change history, so your audit trail is accurate.
Webhooks: Full access Creating our own webhook subscriptions, so changes in Pipedrive reach Reven immediately instead of waiting for the next sync.

The webhooks scope is the one exception to read-only: it lets Reven create and remove its own webhook subscriptions in your account. It's never used to touch your deals, contacts, or any other pipeline data, only to manage the subscriptions that notify Reven when something changes.

1 Sign in with Pipedrive

From app.reven.eu, click Sign in, then choose Continue with Pipedrive.

Click "Sign in" on app.reven.eu.
Choose "Continue with Pipedrive".

2 Approve Pipedrive access

Pipedrive shows every scope Reven is requesting in one screen, listed above under "Before you start". Review them and click Allow and install (or similar, wording varies slightly by Pipedrive account). You'll also see an "unverified app" style warning while Reven isn't yet a verified Marketplace listing; this is expected and safe to accept if you trust the developer.

Every requested scope, in one screen.

3 Create your tenant

If this Pipedrive account hasn't been connected to Reven before, you'll be asked to create a new tenant (or join an existing one, if a teammate has already set one up). Give it a name; you can rename it later. Each Pipedrive company can only ever be connected to one Reven tenant at a time, so if yours is already connected elsewhere, you'll be offered to request access there instead of creating a duplicate.

4 Set up Pipedrive as your CRM

A fresh tenant has no pipeline data yet. Because you already signed in with Pipedrive, Reven knows your login is CRM-capable and offers to use it directly: click Connect Pipedrive on the prompt shown on your home screen. There's no second OAuth round and no repeat consent screen, one click and the connection is live.

One click, no second consent screen.

Signed in with a different provider, or connecting a Pipedrive account that isn't the one you logged in with? An "Other CRMs" option on the same screen starts the regular connect flow instead, which does go through Pipedrive's consent screen once.

5 Your pipeline syncs in

Reven immediately starts importing your deals, contacts, organizations, and activity history. How long this takes depends on how much history is in your pipeline, from a few seconds for a small account to a few minutes for a large one. Once the initial import finishes, new changes in Pipedrive reach Reven in real time, backed by a daily sync as a safety net in case anything is ever missed.

6 Disconnecting or deleting your data

Everything below lives in Settings → Organization → CRM Connections, and all three actions are worth telling apart before you click one:

  • Sync now triggers an immediate re-sync without changing anything about the connection itself.
  • Disconnect, next to the Pipedrive row, unlinks the CRM so Reven stops pulling new data. Your tenant and its history stay intact, and you can reconnect later.
  • Disconnect CRM and delete all data, under Destructive Actions, unlinks Pipedrive and permanently deletes everything synced for this tenant: deals, pipelines, and manually entered targets. This can't be undone.
  • Delete tenant goes further still: it permanently deletes the tenant itself, all its data, and every member's access to it. This can't be undone either.

You can also uninstall the app directly from Pipedrive's own app management screen. Reven picks this up automatically: it revokes its own access token and stops syncing for that account, without you needing to do anything on the Reven side first.

Sync now / Disconnect at the top, the destructive, unrecoverable actions below.
